Picky Eater is a young rock band from Augsburg that locates its sound somewhere between snotty grunge, glittering glam rock and art rock nuances. With raw guitars, a driving rhythm bass, expressive drums and catchy hooks, they bring an alternative underground feeling to the lake. Cheeky progressive beats, jazzy-atmospheric guitar moments and a clear preference for stage drama make their sound as direct as it is idiosyncratic.

Morocco

Daraa Tribes come from Tagounite in the Draa Valley in southern Morocco. For centuries, trade routes ran along this river valley, linking North Africa, the Sahara and sub-Saharan Africa. From this environment, the musicians Gnawa, Sahraoui, Amazigh, Regada and Ikaaba interweave Saharan blues, rock elements, driving percussion and vocals in Darija, Hassani and Tamazight. The result is a multilingual desert groove in which history, migration and everyday life in the Draa Valley become audible as a collective voice. The live performances of Daraa Tribes are energetic, emotional and have an almost ceremonial quality: music as a common rhythm that connects borders and generations.

Lala Tamar is a Moroccan-Brazilian singer, songwriter, poet and guimbri player who revitalizes the musical heritage of Jewish-Moroccan women with a distinctly contemporary voice. She sings in Haketía, Arabic (Darija), Amazigh, Portuguese and Hebrew and combines North African rhythms with Brazilian grooves, pop elements and improvisational passages. As the first artist to record a contemporary album entirely in Haketía, Lala Tamar is committed to the visibility of North African Jewish memories. She has worked with musicians such as Karim Ziad and Khadija El Warzazia and has already performed on international stages, including the Lincoln Center in New York. With her new album “BAB SAB 3” (2026), which was mainly created in Darija, she focuses more strongly on her Moroccan origins and consistently develops her mixture of ritual, danceability and personal narrative.

There are three World Heritage properties within sight of the Kuhsee recreation area: The Lech weir at Hochablass has been draining water for the city for almost 800 years. The waterworks at Hochablass marks the beginning of the modern drinking water supply from 1879. The Eiskanal canoe course was built for the 1972 Olympic Games. It was the world’s first artificial whitewater canoe course and is still used for international competitions today.
