TASTING GEOGRAPHIES
TEE WORKSHOPS
“Tasting Geographies” invites you to join tea workshops and tastings. Different types of tea become the starting point for stories and discussions about botanical knowledge, trade routes and colonial entanglements, but also about everyday rituals, hospitality and the cultural significance of tea. The tea rounds are organized by tea space with Christian Beck and Janina Hentschel, Rafram Chaddad and Daniel Man.
Teas from China, Darjeeling, Tunisia and the Sahara create a shared narrative space in which sensual drinking, shared stories and questions about plantation economies, global supply chains and the ecological consequences of colonial and post-colonial water policies are brought together.
